NEW YORK SOUR

Ingredients:
  1. 2 oz Select Club Reserve 91 Whisky
  2. 1 oz fresh lemon juice
  3. 1½ tablespoons simple syrup
  4. 1 oz dry red wine
Method:
  1. Add all ingredients except the wine to a shaker with ice.
  2. Shake until cold.
  3. Strain into a glass.
  4. Slowly pour in the wine over the back of a bar spoon, letting it float above the whisky layer.
It wouldn’t be expected that this showy, two-layer cocktail is especially easy to make, but you may be happy to know that even an amateur mixologist can whip it up pronto. A sour layer of whisky and citrus beneath a thin layer of dry red wine make up this impressive cocktail. Its combination of bitterness and fruitiness make this the perfect drink for any occasion.
